Part of the "Kilroy" pack, this special edition Air Jordan IX is named for one of the characters featured in Nike's popular ad campaign following Michael Jordan's first retirement, which featured a "disguised" Jordan still playing basketball as different aliases. The "Motorboat Jones" model features a "Billings Bandits" (fictional semi-pro team) colorway, "23" on the heel (Jones' jersey number), "Motorboat Jones" tongue tag, "Bandits" logo embroidered under the tongue, and a "Bandits" team logo/graphic on the insoles.
